3 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
3/4 cup of buttermilk (mala)
1/4 cup of melted margarine or butter
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp vannilla essence
1/2 of cocoa powder
1 tbsp vinegar
Some red food coloring
In a big bowl mix the eggs and sugar, mix thoroughly for about 5 minutes till its pale, fluffy and foamy.Then add in the melted margarine, vanilla essence and buttermilk. Mix.
Add in your flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt, add the flour in bits. Divide the batter in 3 equal parts.
In one part, add the vinegar, 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and red food color. Mix well and set aside.
In the other one add cocoa powder, mix and set aside. The third one leave it as it is.
Take your baking tin, add the batter one spoon after the other.
Add the plain one, then the Redvelvet one then the chocolate one till you’re done. If baking with an oven bake at 160 degrees for 45 minutes.
Without an oven take a big cooking pot, add a lid at the bottom then put in your baking tin.
Cover and cook on your gas on low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hr.
