The former Reds star has failed to settle in at Barcelona since his Anfield exit in January 2018, and looks set to leave the Nou Camp when the transfer window reopens.
He was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich last summer, but it does not look likely that he will make a permanent switch to the Bundesliga giants.
The Brazilian continues to be very speculatively linked with a return to Anfield – and there are suggestions that Barca could be willing to take part in a loan deal for the 28-year-old.
Philippe Coutinho facts are clear for Liverpool as big decision awaits. While Liverpool is a highly unlikely destination, a Premier League return could well be on the cards for Coutinho.
Reds fans on our Facebook page have had their say on whether they would take the Brazilian back at Anfield.
Many do not wish to see Coutinho back in a Reds shirt – with one fan highlighting potential progress of others in the squad as a key reason why.
“No thanks! I’ll play Curtis Jones any day instead of him,” they said.
Here are more supporters who echoed similar thoughts:
Gary Edward Jones: “Don’t need him. He’s 28. FSG wouldn’t pay the money for a player of this age now. Better to bring in quality potential.”
Anthony Jackowski: “Never – he’s shown his true colours!”
Dave Biff: “No we don’t need his wage bill.”
David Farley: “Get him on loan then pay over the odds for a 29 yr old nah I’ll leave it thanks.”
There are some fans, though, that would not be against seeing Coutinho back at Anfield, and here are some of what they had to say.
Ian Woodier: “Yes would have him back. He made a mistake as he has learned his lesson. We all make mistakes as he knows that now.”
Danny Walker: “I do miss him to be fair… We don’t need him but would be lovely to have him back if he could get to where he was once again.”
Luke Farrall: “Actually liked him as a player was quality and we made him into a class player as well I’d definitely take him back.”
