Human Rights day 2020 is set for milestone

Human Rights day 2020 is set to be celebrated on 10th Thursday 10th, December it’s theme being ‘Recover Better’- ‘Stand up for Human Rights’.

Though this year’s focus will hugely resonate with issues faced due to Covid-19 and talk about gaps caused by the pandemic, the day seeks too to end discrimination of any kind, encourage participation and solidarity, promote sustainable development and address inequalities.

Human Rights day has been celebrated since the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948 and was made official by 4th December 1950.

The UDHR documents all rights humans are entitled to regardless of Race, Colour, Religion, language, political option and sex.
