Ethiopia Humanitarian Situation Gets worse as war rages

The UN is yet to issue a statement following the shooting and detaining of it’s citizen’s in Ethiopian soil, by Ethiopian troops after passing through several check points.

The Ethiopian government spokesman maintained that the UN team ignored instructions not to be in the area.

It is alleged the UN team was going to check on the status of Eritrean refugees, with fears of the Eritrean troops having crossed to Tigray and taken some of them to Ethiopia.

This comes even as Ethiopian government forces have been battling the with Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) in EThiopia since 4th November, 2020.

Eritrea is a militarized one party state under president Isaiah’s Afwerki’s rule since it’s independence from 1993.

Tigray troops captured Tigrays capital, Mekelle, from TPLF on 28th November, causing unending wars in parts of the region.
